Here is a 25th anniversary card.  The base is blue and the white panel is embossed with the roses embossing folder.  The corners are punched with a Fiskars lace corner punch.  The heart and sentiment piece are from the same paper as the base.  The number, mini hearts under the number and sentiment are heat embossed with silver embossing powder.  Silver mini hearts punched from silver foil card stock used for the sentiment piece.  Enjoy!

Several people we know have 50th anniversaries coming up this year so I need to be prepared.  The top one is a very simple one.  The white panel is embossed with my rose embossing folder and the corners are punched with a new punch I received from my sister recently.  I punched 4 mini hearts for the corners and the large heart is heat embossed with the number using white embossing powder. The sentiment was typed on the computer and then punched with a word punch and then glued onto the gold modern label. The white panel on the bottom card is embossed with the floral lattice embossing folder with the bottom edge punched with the scalloped edge punch.  The gold band is a 3/4" strip of the gold paper also used for the hearts.  I punched 4 hearts which I used in the top card.  The sentiment and heart are the same as the top one.

These are some gift card holders to fit a gift card from Superstore with the cardboard that it comes in.  The holders are 5" square.  I used a 5"x 11" piece for one of them and 5" x 10" piece for the other two.  The front panel is a vegetable pack I had bought some time ago.  A strip of this vegetable paper is also used inside.  The holder made with a 5" x 11" piece has a 1" pocket adhered inside of the front.  The other two have a green panel with an opening for the gift card made with a word punch from Stampin' Up. I like those better because they are not as bulky.

Here is a birthday card I made for a friend of mine.  I used the birthday embossing folder and some pieces I had for the top.  My sister gave me a punch which I used for the bottom corners of the pink piece.  The butterfly was an extra one from the birthday favors shown earlier.

Here is a sympathy card with both the plant and sentiment stamped and heat embossed.  Nice and easy for multiple cards.

Materials used:  Recollections beige and coral card stock, orchid and sentiment stamp by Stampendous.
Card base: 41/4" x 81/2" (scored at 41/4 " ).  The base could also be cut 41/4" x 11" and scored at 51/2".
Mat: 4" x 51/4".  Sentiment strip is 1" (adjust according to stamp being used) x 4".  I used versamark ink and clear embossing powder for both the orchid and the sentiment.

This card can modified for any occasion.  Enjoy!

Just wanted to share this idea for gift card holders to accommodate the extra packaging some cards are sold in.  These holders are 5" x 5".  The pieces for these are 5" x 10" with a piece 2" x 5" to use as a pocket and
to coordinate with the front panel.   These could also be used as a holder for a compact disc without the plastic case. Have fun making them!  Each of these gift card holders is made with a different embossing folder and paper.

Baby gift card holder

I would like to thank Tami White for her tutorial for this on Pinterest.  She did a Christmas one which was really cute.  I used the measurements to use it for a gift card holder as a baby gift.

Birthday card

Since sewing has been such a big part of my mother's life, it just seemed fitting to make this card for her 90th birthday!  It is an easel card.

Favors for my mother's 90th birthday

These are favors my sister and I made for our mother's 90th birthday yesterday.  The triangle boxes were for her children and grandchildren and the spinner cards in the front of the picture were for the great-grandchildren.  It was a great day with perfect weather!
