Thank you cards.

Here are some "Thank You" cards made for a customer at our Farmer's Market.  I need to make some new ones for the new year.

Christmas Market

These are some of the items I made for a special Christmas market on November 28.  The top picture shows samples of the double slider gift card holders.  The gift card can be attached to the piece in the bottom.  The middle picture shows the 4" x 6" Post it Note holders.   The hot chocolate sliders and tea matchbooks contain different flavors of hot chocolate and teas.  They were color coded to match the packages inside.   All of these make great gifts for any occasion.

Fancy Fold Cards

These cards were a special order for a new customer.  The top picture shows a twisted easel, a double dutch  and a waterfall card.  The bottom picture shows a double slider card and an easel card.  I would like to thank all those who share these techniques on Pinterest and YouTube.

The stamp set, card stock, designer series paper, punches and ink are all from Stampin' Up!  The ribbon is from another source.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I trust you found some inspiration for the new year.  Any of these styles can be used for any occasion!

Happy New Year!

It has been a while since my last update so I will add some new projects but before I do, I would like to wish every one a very Happy New Year in 2016!

Baby Cards

One of my customers ordered a baby card so I made both of these and let her choose which want she wanted.  She chose the one with the carriage.  They are both stamped with images from Something from Baby  by Stampin' Up!   The one on the left is a waterfall card.  I also used the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, Crisp Cantaloupe Ink, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Teeny Tiny Wishes, Occasional Quotes Stamp Set (retired), Memento Black Ink and 1-3/4" Circle Punch.  Ribbon, White and Pink Card Stock and Brads come from other Sources.

Sheltering Tree Note Pads

A friend of mine asked if I would donate some of my projects to a fundraiser she is taking care of with her husband.  They chose one of the ones in the bottom photo and I sold the other one to another person.  I still have the green one left.  The only things not from Stampin' Up!  are the pen, white card stock and Post it note pad inside.   The bases are made from Baked Brown Sugar card stock.  The image and sentiment on them are from Sheltering Tree Stamp Set and the ink used is Old Olive, Bravo Burgandy (retired), Hello Honey, Real Red and Daffodil Delight.

Thank you for visiting my blog!  Happy Thanksgiving!

Birthday Latch Card

One of my nieces celebrated her 20th birthday this month so I made this card for her.  It is using the Latch Card technique I learned on Pinterest.  I used pink card stock and Strawberry Slush Classic Ink to stamp the image from Big Day stamp set from Stampin' Up!  The 20 is stickers on 7/8" white scalloped circle adhered to a pink 1" circle adhered to a artisan label heat embossed with gold embossing powder.   Another pink Artisan label is cut in 1/2 and adhered to the gold label.

Materials used are as follows:
Stampin' Up!:
Big Day Stamp Set
Artisan Label
1" Circle Punch
7/8" Scalloped Circle Punch
Strawberry Slush Classic Ink Pad

Other Sources:
Pink card stock
White card stock
Glitter numbers
Gold embossing powder
Foam tape

The pink card stock is cut at 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4.  I cut 1" off the front and then also scored at 3 3/8", 3 1/2" and 3 5/8".  I put foam tape on the right side of the label to hold it to the card.

Have fun trying one!  You can use any stamp set you may have.

Thank you for dropping by.

Dressed up Writing Pads

I saw some note pads that were "dressed up" in a similar way so when I bought the writing pads, I wanted to dress them up too so I adjusted the measurements to fit them so I could include a pen with each one.  Each pad was done in Stampin' Up! Classic Inks. (All except the red one were stamped with In Colors from Stampin' Up!  The red one is in Real Red.  The Top two are stamped with the Simply Sketched stamp set and the bottom one is stamped with the  Field Flowers stamp set. It just seemed fitting to do two of them with the maple leaf stamp (non Stampin' Up! stamp) for the occasion.

Mini Thank You cards

I was at a 50th birthday party of a friend yesterday.  She had a few of her friends together to do scrap booking or card making so I decided to do this set of Thank you cards.  They are 23/4" finished size to fit a 3" square envelope. This set is inspired by a similar card in the Stampin' Success magazine (for Stampin' Up demonstrators).   I used Strawberry Slush card stock and Strawberry Slush Classic Ink from Stampin' Up!   The flowers are from a stamp set called Petite Petals and punched out with the coordinating punch.  The sentiment and mini hearts are from another stamp set called "You Brighten My Day" and punched out with a coordinating Note Punch.  All card stock, stamps, ink and punches are from Stampin' Up!  The stamp set "You Brighten My Day" is available for free for the month of March with a purchase of $60 (in Canada) of product.  Check with a demonstrator near you for the purchase requirement for your area.   Thank you for visiting my blog today!  Have an awesome day!

Watercolor card

Here is another card from this weekend.  It is done with a watercolor technique called Bokeh.  The watercolor paper is mounted onto Bermuda Bay card stock.  The front of the card is embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder.

To do the watercolor I wet the watercolor paper till it was quite wet then dropped drops of ink refills so the color would run on the wet paper.  While the ink was still wet, I sprinkled table salt on the surface and let it dry.  When the paper was dry, I sponged white circles all over the surface.
The materials I used are as follows:

Stampin' Up!:
Bermuda Bay card stock
Tempting Turquoise Ink refill
Bravo Burgundy Ink refill
Whisper White craft ink pad
Sponge dauber

Non Stampin' Up!:
Watercolor paper
White card stock

Thank you to all the Stampin' Up Demonstrators and other Card Makers who have shared this technique on Pinterest and You Tube!  It is so much fun!

Love is Kindness card set.

With the cold weather we have been having this past week and a school break has given me some time to put this set together for a contest I have going on my Facebook page: Rose Hope Designs.
This set has 6 cards with 2 of each of these 3 colors.  The background mat is from Speciality Designer Series Paper  called Irresistibly Yours.  I sponged the paper with the inks and then rubbed the surface with a kleenex to bring out the shine.   The stamped image and sentiment are from Love is Kindness stamp set stamped with Stazon Jet Black ink and colored in with the ink pads and a blender pen.  Materials used are as follows:

Cards from Open House

Last night, I attended a friend's Stampin' Up! Open House where I made these four projects.   I really enjoyed making the treat bag, small valentine card and the Thank you card.  The birthday card with the bows was more of a messy challenge and I was not super happy about the results of that one.
Thank you for dropping by.  Have a great weekend!
