Water Color Beach Cards

These cards were also water colored with ink from dried out markers (great way to use up the last little bit of ink in markers before throwing them out.  The small, front panel was water colored with a few Stampin' Up! ink refills.  I had put them away for awhile but when I put them with these backgrounds, they felt like beach scenes to me.   Thank you for visiting my blog!

Framed Water Color Picture

Hello.  Hope you are having a great weekend!   This is framed piece.  The blue part is water colored with marker ink that was mixed with water.  It was fun painting and then putting this together.  The sentiment is from Occasional Quotes from Stampin' Up (retired).  the poppy die cut is from black card stock.

Up-cycling Projects

Who would ever guessed one could have so much fun creating cards and book marks with 2 Scotties brand tissue boxes?!  The scalloped circles on the regular size cards are from the bottom flaps of the cards.  When you turn the cards in different directions, the lighting changes the colors.
The 3 note size cards are made with the sides of one of the boxes and the book marks are made with another box.  This was such a fun up-cycling project!

Birthday Double Z Card

With spring around the corner for us, I thought a camping theme would be great for this Double Z card.  Once again all elements of this card except for the blue strip on top (holding the plane) are from Stampin' Up!  The lantern, tent, and ants are from The Great Outdoors (retired set), the trees are from Lovely as a Tree and the plane and birthday sentiment are from The Sky is the Limit set (retired set).

Going Global Twist and Turn Card

I have seen so many of this style card that I finally challenged myself to make one.  I chose Night of Navy card stock and ink.  I also used the big dipper stamp from Going Global Stamp Set.  This image was heat embossed before sponging the background.  All elements of this card are from Stampin' Up!

4 Seasons

Good morning Friends!  One of our vendors at Prairie Sky Farmer's Market in Saskatoon, challenged me to make a framed 4 seasons piece.  I took on the challenge and created this with the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!  I originally used a dark brown frame but prefer this one much more as it is lighter in weight and looks much better.

Thank you  for visiting my blog today!  Have an awesome day!

Water color Valentine cards

With Valentine's Day only a few days away, I thought I should share these cards with you.  The backgrounds are water colored.  Last year, I made cards for the children in our preschool class with the stamp I used on the cards on the left side of the picture. These cards and the red ones peeking out on the right had side with the fox on them are great for children to share with their school friends.  These stamp sets are from Stampin' Up! and unfortunately are retired.

Have a great weekend!
