Table from Christmas Shopping Event

This is my table at a Christmas Shopping Event today.  There were hot chocolate sliders in the green basket but they were sold out quite quickly.  Now I know what to make lots of for next year!
The green matchbooks in the green basket held After Eight hot chocolate mix, the red matchbooks (in the striped box) held Spiced Apple Drink mix, the brown matchbooks held Rolo hot chocolate mix and the yellow ones held Coffee Crisp hot chocolate mix.  It was a fun day!  I still have lots of matchbooks, note pad holders and tea holders which I will use as gifts.

Birthday card set

As coordinator of the card ministry in my church, it is my responsibility to provide cards made by members of my card making team and myself.  These are a set of 3 birthday cards I made this weekend.  All elements of these cards are from Stampin' Up!  The colors used are Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush with Whisper White mats on front and inside.  The images are from Simply Sketched stamp set and the sentiment is from the Occasional Quotes (a retired) stamp set.  The images were stamped with Jet Black Stazon ink and then colored in with Stampin' Write Markers in the colors to match the card bases. The front mats are embossed with the Fancy Fan embossing folder. The Modern Label punch was used for the sentiment.

This is a Double Dutch fold using Pacific Point card stock for the base, Whisper White card stock for the stamping mats, sand piper stamp from Wetlands stamp set.  The background on the top flap was made by rubbing masking tape on Baked Brown Sugar, Marina Mist and Soft Sky classic inks. All of these products are from Stampin' Up!  The birds were stamped with black Stazon Ink. The sentiment is punched out with the Word Window punch with the mat under it punched out with a Modern Label punch from Stampin' Up!   I had these two beach cards on display at a recent Trade Show.  They can be ordered as is or customized with different sentiment.

Beach birthday card

This summer my husband and I went to California to help our son and daughter-in-law move to their new home.  While we were there, we spent some time at the beach with them and saw sand pipers for the first time.  I came home inspired to make beach cards!  This one was done with a navy card base and whisper white card stock, turquoise and navy ribbon.  The sand pipers are from the Wetlands stamp set from Stampin' Up!  The sentiment was also from that set.  The tag die cut is from Spellbinders.  The envelope was also stamped with this set in Baked Brown Sugar ink (my favorite).

Penguin Waterfall card and mini post it note holder

My friend's daughter is having a penguin theme for her 10th birthday so I decided to do a penguin waterfall card and mini post it note holder for her.  Since she learned some cheerleading at school last year, I decided to count by 2's.  I found the post it note holder idea on Pootles Papercraft (Youtube) and decided to use velcro closures instead of brads and just rounded the corners instead of using the scalloped tag topper punch. The snowflake stamp on the holder is from a Stampin' Up! Around Array stamp set and punched out with the 7/8" scalloped circle punch and mounted on with a Stampin' dimensional.  The Happy Birthday stamp is also from Stampin' Up!  It is from the Label Love set and punched out with the Artisan label punch.
The card stock for the card base and the stickers are from Michael's and the penguin paper are from another scrapbook store that is no longer available.

Baby Shower package

This is a Baby Shower package which I made for a baby shower held last night.  The tags in the first picture were for guests  to write a birthday note to the child and place it in one of the birthday page pockets.
The first two pages were for guests to sign, the next four pages were for recording gifts and the rest of the pages were for the child's first to thirteenth birthdays with a pocket to hold note tags and a space for a picture.  I enjoyed putting this together and giving it to the baby's mother at the end of the shower.  The treat holders in the bowl were thank you treats for the guests.

Materials used:
Recollections album
Pink Recollections card stock
Scrapbook paper from Michael's
Glitter numbers and letter stickers from Michael's
Martha Stewart "Happy Birthday" punch
Candle and Cupcake punches by EK
Stampin' Up Strawberry Slush ink
Stampin' Up Crisp Canteloupe ink
Whisper White card stock
Stampin' Up Around Array Stamp set
Baby Scrapbook paper from Dollar Tree.

Although this album was made for a baby, it could be also made for any occasion.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Sideways waterfall card

This is a sideways Waterfall card for a friend who is pursuing a wedding photography business in BC.  The camera stamp on the 2nd and 4th small pieces were stamped to the right side and that is why those pieces look blank.  The Whisper White card stock and stamp set are from Stampin' Up.  The black card stock and dotted ribbon are from Michael's.

Card in a box

Yesterday,  I took some time to put together this card in a box for a friend's birthday.  You can never have too much beach... right?!  The products except the Whisper White cardstock for the sentiment and the personalized stamp on the separate piece were from Michael's.  The Whisper White card stock, personalized stamp were from Stampin' Up.  The Modern Label and Word Window punches used for the sentiment piece are also from Stampin' Up.

Thank you card

One of my nieces came over one afternoon in June and wanted to learn how to make a card.  I  think she did a great job!  She was so excited to be able to use some of my supplies and tools - like a child in a candy store.

Cards made by my sister

My sister made the  top one for one of my sons for his 22nd birthday.  Yes, there are 22 candles across the bottom!  The bottom card was a retirement card she made for my husband's early retirement.

Graduation cards

My sister was visiting us during the month of June so during one of our card making sessions, she made these 2 beautiful grad cards.

Father's Day Card

This Father's Day Card uses Baked Brown Sugar card stock and Natural White card stock.  I also used the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  The tree is from Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.  The band across the card is embossed with the Wood grain embossing folder.  All these items, including the Modern Label punch and the Word Window punch are from Stampin' Up.  The mat is textured paper from Michael's.

Retirement Card in a Box

Last week my friend came over and taught my sister and me how to make a card in a box.  It was so much fun that I decided to make one for my husband for his retirement.  I used Baked Brown Sugar and Natural White card stock, the Great Outdoors stamp set, Stampin' Write markers.  These are all from Stampin' Up.  I also used the tree stamp from another company.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up's Teeny Tiny Wishes.

Birthday card

This birthday card involved heat embossing and sponging.  I used Baked Brown Sugar card stock, Whisper White card stock, white embossing powder from Michael's and paper that was given to me for my birthday.  The card stock, inks, sentiment, and punches are from Stampin' Up!

Black and White Graduation card

This card  was made for my daughter who graduated from university this year.  I used the following materials: Whisper White card stock, Basic Black card stock, the Scalloped Tag Topper punch and Decorative Dots embossing folder from Stampin' Up.  The ribbon and stickers were from Michaels.

Graduation cards

Here are 2 graduation cards for high school graduates.   I stamped the envelope flap and the front of the envelope to match the card.

Graduation cards

These are graduation cards I made for some high school students in their school colors.  I used Whisper White card stock for the sentiment.  This white piece was punched out with a Stampin' Up Scalloped top tag punch on both ends so I could thread the ribbon through.  The ribbon colored card stock and stickers are from Michael's.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up Pure Gumption stamp set which is now retired.

Thank you cards with ocean theme

These are thank you cards for gifts I received at the end of a great preschool year.  Our closing program had an ocean theme so the stickers on these cards were perfect for the occasion.  The stickers and paper are from Michael's.  The mats are embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder from Stampin' Up.  The sentiment is stamped on tan colored paper and punched out with the Modern Label punch from Stampin' Up.  The sentiment stamp was from Michael's.

Birthday card

Here is a card made big enough for our preschool students to sign for their teacher.  This morning we are celebrating all the summer birthdays of our students.  The teacher I work with, also has a summer birthday so I made this card 51/2" x 81/2". The image and sentiment are from the Wetlands stamp set.  I sponged with Sahara Sand, Marina Mist and Soft Sky Classic ink pads and stamped the image 3 times across with black Stazon ink.  I also used black Stazon ink for the sentiment. The seashell sticker is from a set of stickers I bought for one of my scrapbooks.

Card set

A friend/co-worker gave me a card stock pad with these designs so I decided to make her a card set made with these designs for her birthday this year.  It is a set of four cards and matching envelopes.  They are inside a 6"x 8" cellophane bag with the open end tucked inside the chevron printed piece.  I punched a couple of holes to thread the ribbon through and tied a bow with a black ribbon.  The sentiments are from the Wetlands stamp set (Stampin' Up) and are stamped on Whisper White card stock.

Fruit card set

This card set is made from some paper I had bought about a year or so ago before I became an Independent Stampin' Up demonstrator.   I decided to use it up.  The flaps on the envelopes have paper to match the cards.

Black and White Graduation card

Here is a graduation card using the triple time stamping idea but instead of stamping, I embossed the two larger white rectangles together and separated them with a black mat.  The smallest white rectangle is stamped with a sentiment from Stampin' Up's Pure Gumption stamp set.  This stamp set has retired with the 2013 catalogue.

Note pad holder

This is a note pad holder I made for a birthday gift.  It is made to hold a 4" x 6" post it note pad.  The pen is a mini gel pen from Staples.
Materials used:
Bermuda Bay card stock
Crisp Cantaloupe card stock
Whisper White card stock
Silver embossing powder
Pistachio Pudding Stampin'  write marker
Crisp Cantaloupe Stampin' write marker
Strawberry Slush Stampin' write marker
Decorative dots embossing folder
Spellbinders scalloped oval die cut.

Wetlands bookmarks

Here are 2 bookmarks I made for gifts.  I used the scalloped tag punch and Wetlands stamp set from Stampin' Up.  I also did some sponging. The bookmarks were embossed with the decorative dots embossing folder from Stampin' Up.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's who may be viewing this blog site today!  Have a great day!

Thursday, 24 April 2014

I just want to thank all the demonstrators who share their techniques and ideas on YouTube and Pinterest.  I have learned so much from them and been inspired by their work.  Thank you!

Birthday card

This birthday card is made with paper, the decorative dots embossing folder, the Label love stamp/punch set and the Simply Sketched stamp set from Stampin' Up. Oh yes, the circle behind the sentiment is punched with the 13/4" circle punch from Stampin' Up. The doily is from a Martha Stewart package and the bow is made with the Martha Stewart punch.  The flower is heat embossed with silver embossing powder and then colored in with Old Olive, Crisp Cantaloupe and Strawberry Slush Stampin' Write markers from Stampin Up.

Wetlands Birthday card

I made this birthday card using the Wetlands stamp set once again.  I really like that set!  It is so much fun to use and color in and do different things with it!

Reflection post it note holder

After watching a few tutorials on the reflection technique I finally tried it and was quite happy with how it turned out.  I am using this as my contest prize on my Facebook page Rose Hope Designs for the most Likes, Shares and Comments.  The measurements for this one are the same as the previous one.

Wetlands Post it note holder

This is a post it note holder for 4" x 6" post it note pads.  I started with a piece of blue card stock cut to 91/2" x 61/4" and scored at 41/4", 45/8" and 5" along the 91/2" side.  I used gray textured paper for the mat and the band across the front is embossed with the wood embossing folder from Stampin' Up.  The stamped image is done with the Wetlands stamp set also from Stampin' Up!  Thank you  to all the demonstrators I was able to learn from.
